I love spending time at least once a week walking on the lake shore. It’s changing all the time, and now during Winter time, it’s gorgeous.

1/2/3 soleil or the myster of america or the French P.S’s coming back…hihihi!

We saw the Super Bowl at a friend of friend’s place, though we were almost 40.  They were a lot of people  who  stickied to the TV , fortunately the apartment was big enough to contain 2 big screens. We were surrounded by unknown people.

We met the owner and he was really friendly completely bilingual, even trilingual because he lived 3 years in Madrid where he was a Sport Journalist. So he tried to explain the rules to us without success. Baptiste was just  the only one who was paying attention to the game. The funny thing is that Baptiste had been explained by a colleague the rules of the game. This is not a game for dummies, but it’s very complex and full of strategies. He even told me this day that the quarterback who order all the play.

Sometime, hidden papers with all the strategy are kept in his t-shirt so that he can remember the strategies. For me it was the same  I was getting bored  to watch that as I didn’t get it nothing.

Then each time I asked, it was worst.  Even the adds were completly borring …except one that I loved a lot …

Natali, Diego, Baptiste, Monique, Edouard…

After having made one Gay Prade in Germany and the seconde  in Paris. Never two without three.  In Chicago in our neiborhood because it’s a gay neiborhood. It was funny, we stayed 2 hours. A thingh amazing in Chicago. It has been sunny for 15 days and Yesterday I was sunburnt as never. But it is really nice I have waited the summer for  months.

My super friend who is from argentina but she lived in Spain (Madrid)  she is always  laughing . I like very much this girl and fortunately I have met her.

There are a lot of motors it was really amazing . At the breakfast we meet a young women who works in a small and strange restaurant.  (rest)

She looks a old women, fat and not  happy. I was cold with a big ventilators which it were inside and my coffee it was terrible. And after 5 minutes she told that Galena was a borring city for she and asked us why we went to Galena for the week end . For she it was amazing thinking that two parisiens could go in your town and she explained that in fact Galena was for tourists but for americans tourists who live around in OHIO. For us it was ideal city to see and understand a little more a american culture. It was fun and full of contrasts. Between motards and old american we were feeling really foreign.

I like this picture. I thought about on of my favorite artist who names tadashi kawamata. I discovered his work in Metz at  Synagogue de Delme. I needed to walk inside more than 1 hundred chairs  above me.  I always keep in my mind this installation and I enjoy seeing chairs hang to ceiling. Maybe one day I will do it in my house.

The american landscapes are a little nationalist and  can surprise foreign people. I am beginning a collection of american flags.

Million Dollard Quartet is the name given to recordings made on Tuesday December 4, 1956 in the Sun Record Studios in Memphis, Tennessee. The recordings were of an impromptu jam session between Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Johnny Cash.

We went to see this music hall and it was so great but the actors were speaking with a rude accent and I understood only a little. It was so nice to see this in America because this is THE american culture.  There were only old people , it was wierd maybe because it was a little bit expensive. But the ambiance was at the maximum.

A few story found :

The jam session seems to have happened by pure chance. Perkins, who by this time had already met success with “Blue Suede Shoes,” had come into the studios that day, accompanied by his brothers Clayton and Jay and by drummer W.S. Holland, their aim being to cut some new material, including a revamped version of an old blues song, “Matchbox.” Sam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records, who wished to try to fatten this sparse rockabilly instrumentation, had brought in his latest acquisition, singer and piano man extraordinaire, Jerry Lee Lewis, still unknown outside Memphis, to play the piano on the Perkins session.
Sometime in the early afternoon, Elvis Presley, a former Sun artist himself, but now at RCA, dropped in to pay a casual visit accompanied by a girlfriend, Marilyn Evans. He was, at the time, the biggest name in show business, having hit the top of the singles charts five times, and topping the album charts twice in the preceding 12 month period. Less than four months earlier, he had appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, pulling an unheard-of 83% of the television audience, which was estimated at 55 million, the largest in history, up to that time. After chatting with Philips in the control room, Presley listened to the playback of the Perkins’ session, which he pronounced to be good. Then he went into the studio and some time later the jam session began. Phillips left the tapes running in order to “capture the moment” as a souvenir and for posterity. At some point during the session, Sun artist Johnny Cash, who had also enjoyed a few hits on the country charts, popped in (Cash noted in his autobiography Cash that it was he who was the first to arrive at Sun Studio that day). As Jerry Lee pounded away on the piano, Elvis and his girlfriend at some point slipped out. Cash claims in Cash that “no one wanted to follow Jerry Lee, not even Elvis”

The following day, an article, written by Memphis newspaperman Bob Johnson about the session, was published in the Memphis Press-Scimitar under the title, “Million Dollar Quartet.” The article contained the now well known photograph of Elvis Presley seated at the piano surrounded by Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash.
